Content analyst-server product evaluation service

Job Description

This person be part of a team producing the research content for IDC’s Server Product Evaluation Service. He/she will locate and collect product features, pricing and published benchmarks from secondary sources. Expectations include the following:

· Work with the larger IDC design and operation teams to create and maintain a database with detailed product specifications, performance data and pricing.

· Gather product features (Model, Processor, RAM, HD, etc.) with an understanding of the proper format, definition and configuration onto a server using these features. Able to collect this information in a timely and accurate manner.

· Collect published benchmark data and work with IDC team and other industry experts on development of a model for measuring the relative performance of a server.

· Locate new sources for secondary content (vendor price books, reseller sources, etc.).
