When the iPhone was launched, it was considered innovative and groundbreaking but was expensive, meant only for the rich. Bringing smiles on faces of many people is Apple’s new iPhone which is twice as fast, slimmer and far cheaper. Faster:
Web pages can be flipped 2.8 times faster. It supports Wi-Fi, 3G and EDGE networks and automatically switches between them ensuring the fastest possible downloads. Faster networking speeds with 7.2 Mbps HSDPA makes it a pleasure to surf net.
Using its patented technology Apple, which only recently patented ‘PET-based touch pad’ unique technology, has in its new phone, aluminum rear has been replaced by black plastic back.
Better Graphics:
Operating the OpenGL ES 2.0 standard Phone 3G S provides high-quality 3D graphics Games will become more interactive on this iPhone, you can tilt and move your on-screen characters. Scoring over the previous version the new version has features such as cut, copy and paste, MMS, spotlight search and landscape keyboard and more.
A 3-megapixel camera with autofocus
You would forget your digital cameras with Apple’s new iPhone camera which adjusts focus, exposure, color and contrast. A new ‘tap to focus’ feature enables the user to select an object or area of interest by touching the display and the camera automatically adjusts the focus and exposure.
Don’t dial just speak the name or number and get connected. It also enables playing of music by artist, album or playlist and to pause the music, play the next track and turn on shuffle.
Camcorder
You can shoot VGA-quality video in 30 frames per second, and after you're done, you can trim the video by adjusting the start and end points. You can then send the video via MMS (included in iPhone OS 3.0) to a friend, to your MobileMe account, or even to YouTube, directly from the phone.
Improved battery life:
Apple promises that the iPhone 3G S can hold up to 9 hours in Wi-Fi, 10 hours on video playback, 30 hours on audio playback, 12 hours talk time on 2G networks, and 5 hours talk time on 3G networks.
The 16GB model will be $199 with a new contract and the 32GB model will be $299 with a new contract.Older iPhones will be able to get the iPhone 3.0 update for free. Apple 3GS iPhone is technology at its best and is a creating a zest in the market.
