The international trade fair electronicIndia 2008 was held from 2 September to 5 September 2008 in Bengaluru. Milagrow Business and Knowledge Solution was the “Knowledge Partner” for the 4 day long event.
Participating firms spanned the entire electronics manufacturing spectrum - production equipment, surface mount technology (SMT), electronic manufacturing services (EMS), components, assemblies, semiconductors and materials. Event attracted More than 12,300 visitors. Key exhibitors included leading companies both from the electronics components sector and the electronics production engineering sector, for example Arrow, Assembleon, AT&S, Bergen, EMS Technologies, Epcos, Farnell, Fuji, Harting, IMC, Infineon, JAM, Juki, Komax, Panasonic, Rittal, Samsung, Schleuniger, Shinmaywa, Siemens, Taiyo Yuden, TransTechnology, Tyco Electronics, Universal and Würth Elektronik.
A large number of small and medium-sized enterprises from Germany, the United Kingdom, Singapore, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan also participated in the exhibition to showcase their innovative products and new technologies
“International Conference on Contract Manufacturing” was organized on 1st day of the event in which various industry expert shared their thought on “Business Opportunities and Challenges in India”. Milagrow Knowledge Mentor Mr. Arindam Ganguli delivered a presentation on “EMS Opportunities in India” and talked about the existing and projected electronics consumption and production gap in India and how India is progressing towards becoming a favourable destination for electronics manufacturing. He shared his insights on “how India can become a manufacturing hub for the electronics industry and emerge as a supply base for the bottom of pyramid countries (Middle East, Africa, East Europe, Central Asia) with its unique advantages such as proven software and innovation capabilities and the easy access to new emerging countries.
His session was enjoyed not only for the insights he shared but also for the delightful and engaging way of presentations. After the session, he interacted with delegates from various companies and responded to their queries. Later he conducted a small mentoring session at our stall- Booth No. – 2664. On day-2 of the exhibition, our mentor Mr. Azhakeson interacted with visitors from small EMS companies on manufacturing and technology aspects.
