Big vs Small Master Class in Retailing-An Astounding Success

 

“Big v/s Small Master Class in Retailing - Consumer Durable IT & Telecom Industry” Workshop held at Le Meridien on 17th and 18th April 2009 , saw an overwhelming response from the industry .It aimed at searching out Success Secrets in CDIT Retailing space. It was first of its kind workshop in India with a focus on consumer durable retailing. The faculty of the workshop included associates from Innovative Sales Solution Inc. - Erin Brumm, John Peterson, Gary O‟Loughlin and Neel Naicker . The faculty with extensive expertise in consumer durable retailing sector and the experience of working with the giants like Best Buy, Target and Circuit City etc brought out the best practices in retail with live examples and case studies. It was inaugurated by Mr. Rajeev Karwal , Founder & CEO- Milagrow Business and Knowledge Solutions. With over 20 years experience in consumer durable and consumer durable retail industry he found an immediate connect with the audience.

It saw participation from all major retailers, manufactures and dealers of CDIT industry. The retail industry saw representation from Tata Croma, Jumbo, Viveks, Dass Electronics, Lotus, Next. Whirlpool, Videocon, Nokia, HCL provided a new dimension to the discussion. Apart from live examples and case studies the faculty also involved the audience in strategy building exercises. The audience also shared their experience and domain knowledge. It thus, became a platform for shared learning, applauded by all present. The interactive mode of the workshop was well received by the audience and duly appreciated. The workshop churned out new ideas for the small retailers to attain new heights, one of them being forming buying consortium. The big players too learnt new methods of weeding out troubles from the business. The workshop saw new synergies emerging out with vision of big and small retailers partnering with each other for success.
