Dr. Liyan Zhang is a Professor at Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, China and a visiting faculty at IIM, Ahmedabad. She is an authority in SME businesses and grass root innovations and has led various academic and professional research projects on the subject. She has taught at various international universities like Deakin University, Australia and Budapest University of Economics, Hungary. She is a doctorate in Management with and MBA in marketing and management.
She is the Chairperson of the prestigious Asia-Pacific Regional Workshop on Grassroots Innovation for Senior Policy-Makers, 2007,Nanjing, China. She is into many research projects, one among them being “Policies Study on the Development of Chinese SMEs” which has been sponsored by National Social Science Foundation of China (NSSFC). NSSFC is considered to be the most important foundation for social sciences in China.
