He is an Mechanical Engineer having over 24 years of multi product experience in Manufacturing Operations in the areas of Research and development/Engineering/New Product development and value engineering of Refrigerators/Washing Machines/Precision components for appliances. His last assignment was with Electrolux Kelvinator Ltd., Shahjahanpur as G.M-R & D; leading design, development, testing and productionisation of refrigerators /washing machine products, OEM products selection, customization and approval of Air-conditioners/Microwave Oven/Refrigerators and Washing machine from local/imported sources of over different product ranges.
Has proven abilities in spear-heading R&D/Engg initiatives (for over 16 years), technology transfers, design, testing and validation, process improvement and systems designing initiatives with the merit of successfully executing assignments from product conceptualization to mass production in the areas of Consumer Electronics and Home Appliances.
He made major contributions during his 22 years at BPL which included Development of EPABX, PLCC , ECG and BWTV, Development of Jigs and fixtures and local materials for Audio SKD/CKD assy, SKD assy of CTV and VCR, establishing production set up for CKD assy of Audio models M7740, M7010 and M1760, Effectively established the Tape Deck Mechanism Assembly Line, developed the Wooden Speaker System for HI-FI models indigenously, Successfully achieved raw materials costs reduction @140mINR for the year 1995-'96 for BST-PKD/DBP by alternate sourcing, Indigenizing, Value Engg. , and negotiations, Handled the designing & development of 5 Audio models (C30, C10, CP80, Duet, M7735) and improvements / upgrading existing products, Achieved RMC reduction through Indigenization /Value Engg. /Alternate Sourcing.
He played a key role in the introduction of new refrigerators & washing machine models & up-grading of the existing models, OEM/EXPORT models development and productionisation, Actively involved in the design and development of Precision Components viz Fan Motor, Drain Motor, Soak Timer and Defrost Timers for BPL group of companies, Production planning for OEM / Export / BPL brand models and achieved 95% on time delivery.
