Mr. Narain Jagirdar
Narain Jagirdar is a Subject Matter Expert at Milagrow in Pharmaceuticals & FMCG.
He is a BSc special in Chemistry from Osmania University and an MMS from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Bombay University, 1972, and the ensuing career in Pharmaceutical Marketing and Sales in Indian affilates of MNCs and purely home grown Indian companies. The experience includes marketing areas such as strategy formulation, marketing communication, and new product development, and in sales field force management from recruitment & training to field control, and distribution.
The experience has been exciting: from working in established companies to setting up new ones. Had a specially rewarding experience as a core member of a small group to set up a pharmaceutical unit in Srinagar, Kashmir and to launch an All-India sales operation in a niche category like ophthalmology.
Lately, set up a health beverage marketing operation in India for a Canadian company.Strategy formulation, marketing communication and helping develop innovative new products are special areas of interest.
Mr. Rathi DasGupta
Rathi is a post IBM era first generation IT and ITeS professional in India with around 20 years of experience. Currently he is advising IT companies, Startups and Private Equity Advisory firms) on IT strategy and investments.
He turned around Intec, the organization in terms of employee morale, attrition and productivity and profitability. He created a 400 member organization with a very strong competency in product development (in BSS and Mediation) and project services.
Prior to Intec, he was part of the team which started the IT and BPO initiative for $62bn retailer Target Corporation and worked as CTO/Director Technology. He created technology groups in in-store applications, supply chain, PLM, e-Commerce, target.com, BI and Data warehouse and RFID.
He played significant roles at First Apex(Singapore based insurance software product company) as VP of delivery, at SUN Microsystems as Engineering Manager of J2EE and XML R&D, at Xansa UK as manager of utilities vertical, Sharp Software Lab in India as Senior Technology Manager. He also worked in George Soros funded technology companies in India and was instrumental in setting up the first offshore company (TCG/XTech) in India in 1994.
During his tenure at Coopers & Lybrand , he was instrumental in creating the first BPO in India for Standard Chartered Bank’s credit card group, now known as Scope. He also helped the growth of Office Tiger, Chennai (the largest acquisition of a third party BPO in India) as a part of the team led by Joseph Siegelman. He was also part of Target BPO in India.
Rathi Dasgupta is a specialist in IT for Retail, Telecom and Insurance sectors. He is also a technology and platform specialist along with his competency in IT strategy and Offshoring/Outsourcing strategy. He is a research worker and recently published nine research articles in journals and international conferences. He chaired conferences in outsourcing and offshoring in Atlantic City and Hyderabad last year. He also delivered speeches at IT.IN and Retail Association of India conference in Delhi and Mumbai.
He also advises startup technology organizations and do executive coaching/mentoring to start up CEOs. He is a PhD in Physics and a distinguished member and chartered Physicist of The Institute of Physics, London. Rathi also did his graduate studies in RPI, NY, USA.
Mr. Abhas Abhinav
Abhas Abhinav leads DeepRoot Linux, a Free Software Business he founded years back. He believes that it is very possible to build an ethical and profitable business by developing and servicing Free Software exclusively. He sees no conflict between the freedom that you provide your users and your ability to build a business on that.
Abhas started his excursions into technology about 20 years back on PC-XTs and his interest and passion in computing has only grown manifold. He picked up his most basic datacom and online skills participating in BBSes at a young age during the pre-Internet days. Free Software and GNU/Linux caught his fancy about 10 years back and he's been a user, developer and advocate of Free Software ever since.
Right after graduating in 2000 from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur with a B.E. in Computer Science, Abhas started DeepRoot Linux so that he could work on building, servicing and support Free / Open Source software full-time.
At DeepRoot Linux, he bridges the chasm between the available of excellent Free Software technology and its application to more user problems.
